Halco’s COB units are the fastest way for a contractor to do a parking lot retrofit. Just disconnect the existing ballast from power and the socket and then take power directly to the socket. Most of the time you can leave the reflector and the ballast in the housing, but if space is a factor then both of those can be removed. The Halco directional COB needs no reflector because the panels fold out and all point downward. I had one guy ask if it wouldn’t look funny with no reflector, all I could say is “Nobody looks up, especially when they are lit!”
